FROM SCRAPS TO RICHES
Don't know what to do with all those leftover fabrics from sewing projects? Is there a silk shirt, linen pants, or a rayon skirt buried in your closet? Recycle into a designer wearable art garment.
This workshop introduces you to a new and playful technique that can be adapted to jackets, vests, or garment accents; as well as wall quilts. I will show you how to blend colors, manipulate fabrics, and texturize your design for a very dramatic look. Drop, scrunch, twist, twin-needle, machine stitch and optional hand beading.
- Intermediate: For all sewers & quilters
- Choice of 1 or 2 Day

STARSCAPE WALLHANGING
Create an impressionistic landscape within a pieced star. A free-form cutting technique is used to cut curved strips of fabric. These strips are sewn together by machine into a landscape and accented with decorative stitches. Balance, focal point, blending colors, and unusual settings will be explored. Your scene is then set into pieced eight-pointed star, for a finished 16 block.
